We Believe in Jesus Christ

We live in a world today where there are a million different opinions about everything. This is no exception when it comes to Christian beliefs. We also have 2000 years of church history that have defined everything that can possibly be defined when it comes to God.

So when it comes to defining what we believe the list could become very long. We do believe the most fundamental tenants of the Christian faith. However, we like to keep it simple when it comes to our beliefs. Jesus said in Matthew 18:3, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.” It is too easy to make things very complex and complicated when it comes to beliefs. That is why Jesus challenges us to remain like little children.

John 3:36 says, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life.” This sums it up for us. We place all our belief in Jesus. Not just the historical Jesus, but the Jesus who is alive today. Our belief in Jesus is tied to a living and vibrant faith in who He is and what He says. As best we can, we base our lives on this belief. As we do this we think that all of our other beliefs will come in line as the Spirit leads us into all truth.

We believe that God is the most generous and loving being ever. Because of His great love toward us, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to earth to triumph over Satan and all of God’s enemies once and for all so that people everywhere could enter into a personal relationship with Him through faith. We believe that as people believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross they receive forgiveness for their sins and become participants in the new creation of God in Christ Jesus. Their identity is transformed and they can experience life as God originally intended it to be.
